Green
Land Tours (GLT) derived its name from
the color that Ethiopia wears as a result
of the fusion of the three seasons of
rainfall and the thirteen months of
sunshine.
GLT is staffed with experienced tour
operators, guides, driver-guides, cooks
and etc. We are well equipped with vehicles
suitable to the Ethiopian climate and
road conditions (terrain). Since our
Land Cruisers (4x4) and the (4WD) buses
are in excellent condition, tourists
and other clients would most likely
never face any form of discomfort during
tours both within and across the Ethiopian
boundaries.
Our drivers/tour guides have widely
traveled through out the country and
beyond and are well acquainted with
all areas. On the other hand the GLT
cooks are experienced professionals
trained in esteemed colleges within
the country. They can prepare (both
local and international) meals delicious
enough to make you say “Wow-what
a dish!”
OUR AIM
Right from the very beginning in 1997,
Green Land Tours was established with
the aim to give utmost satisfaction
to its customers. Due to its outstanding
service, the company has twice (2001
and 2002) won the prestigious INTERNATIONAL
AWARD FOR TOURISM, HOTELS AND CATERING
INDUSTRY, a trophy presented
due to outstanding services presented
by the Trade Leaders Club. In addition,
Green Land Tours & Travel, along
with its cooperating businesses have
been awarded the DIAMOND
EYE AWARD FOR QUALITY COMMITMENT &
EXCELLENCE to be given
in December 2004 in Berlin (Germany).
On Sept 28, 2004, at a function held
at the Sheraton Hotel Addis Ababa, the
Ethiopian
Tourism Commission presented an
award for the Most Outstanding
Performance in Tour Operation
for the year 2003 to Green Land Tours.
Besides running a tours and travel company,
GLT manages several resorts, hotels,
eco-lodges, and campsites in different
parts of the country. These include
Swaynes
Hotel (Arba Minch), Evangadi
lodge (Turmi), Wenney
eco-lodge (Langano lake) and Yemrha
hotel (Lalibella).
